The Special Envoy of the Commonwealth Secretary General, former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Musa Hitam, called on President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom yesterday.
Hitam was accompanied by the Political Advisor at the Political Affairs Division of the Commonwealth Secretariat, Sabbitha Raju.
Hitam’s current visit to the Maldives is to kick start talks among all political parties to break the deadlock that is currently blocking speeding up of constitutional reform in Maldives.
