Nepali FM to participate SAARC meeting

Nepali Minister for Foreign Affairs Upendra Yadav will participate in the 31st South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Ministerial meeting to be held in Colombo, capital city of Sri Lanka, on February 27-28, the Foreign Ministry said on Friday

The meeting will focus on the establishment of SAARC development fund, climate change, and multi-model transportation among others.

It will also review the implementation of the commitment made in the 15th SAARC Summit. Yadav will hold bilateral talks with his counterparts from the SAARC region, the Foreign Ministry said.

Founded in 1985, the SAARC includes Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
